On the morning of the second day of the outgoing meeting of the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Region, led by the President of the regional non-governmental organization “Association of Indigenous Peoples of Chukotka”, Anna Ivanovna Otkeh held a meeting of the Bilibino branch of the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North. During the visiting session held in the afternoon, the present members of the Government of PCD, representatives of the Pevek administration and invited managers of the main enterprises discussed the results of the work of the Pevek city district in 2016, outlined the main development directions for 2017. All the participants of the Government meeting were heard.
The main work of the director of the Chukotka Development Fund Olga Plotnikova was aimed at working with the Administration of Finance, Economy and Property Relations of the Civil Defense Administration of Pevek, responsible for the implementation of the major development programs. Among the priority tasks currently being addressed in the Pevek urban district, there are certainly: a strategic project for the reconstruction of the quay wall within the Pevek seaport in view of the projected growth in cargo turnover; A large-scale project and prospects for the construction of hydro-technical facilities of the floating NPP (floating nuclear thermal power plant) in Pevek; Reconstruction of the airport and, of course, a socio-ecological project for the reconstruction of an emergency dam and reservoir.
